Our house is a duplex from 1933. we really like it. it’s older but has lots of character (and only one bathroom heh) ours is the one on the right.
our course all the leaves are falling now – this is from later summer. don’t we have beautiful trees!? I love it! it’s bird-heaven!
those are of the backyard. yes it is small. but the older gentleman next door doesn’t use it at all. so it’s all ours to use. we plan on putting in a garden next year. it’s perfect and shady and I really like it a lot. I never thought I’d love the city. I’m a country girl! but… it goes to show that God knows what you need when you do. it turns out this house is just perfect for us right now. I’m finding a love for this older town – it has plenty of trees and nooks and character.
is has been trying to get to know our neighbors however. there aren’t any kids on our street so that’s a little difficult for the kids. they miss having friends. but it will come in time I am sure. the town we live in is nice. it’s family-friendly. and b/c it’s a duplex it’s entirely within our budget. we’d never be able to afford the beautiful single family homes, so this is a perfect compromise. this is the only way we could afford to live in a city. we can walk to a small Italian grocery store. there is within 3 miles a grocery store, library, park, another park, and tons of restaurants (granted we can’t eat at any but that’s ok heh) we spend so little money is gas it’s wonderful!!! for us this was much better a idea than living in the middle of nowhere.

It really is adorable. I love the brick look!!! I want a brick house. And affordability is always perfect! I wish my hubby and I would have thought longer on what we could afford and couldn’t. Yeah for pictures! Gonna post any of inside?
It is super cute! It looks just like one that my dh and I considered buying, but as with all old things there is always a height issue. Sigh…
