can someone puleaaaaassseee  find me a gfcfsf recipe for empanadas. or something similar. I think it would awesome to have some kinda meat pie.

I don’t mind using lard but it seems zo doens’t handle it well.  which means I have to think creatively. I have some beef tallow but when I tried it in baked goods before it was AWFUL. maybe t would be ok in crust, I dunno. anyone have experience on this one?

I wanna make a meat pie and I wanna make a pie for thanksgiving… so I need to figure this out soon.

What about coconut oil, the more refined one that doesn’t have a smell or taste?

coconut or palm would work I’m sure…. but i’m not sure what flour combination to use. rice wont rise on it’s own so I’m just not sure…

How about almond flour? At Elana’s pantry she has a recipe for almond flour pie crust that looks easy and delicious.

I made a pie crust out of almond flour and coconut oil when I came to your house a few months back. remember? anyhow, I thought it was ok…. but not really a crust, more of a mealy crumb (which i really good in some things!). empanadas need a flakey kinda crust, almond flour doesn’t stretch. hmmm…

today I’m trying rice flour and palm shortening…. we’ll see!

    btw what’s Elana’s pantry?
